Heart Cards

In March of 2022 I was reading a short story in Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul 2 and I was inspired to do something nice based on this story. A mother was going through the worse thing any mom could ever imagine, her child was dying. He received many cards in the mail and always said that was the one thing that made him happy. She started sending cards to other children fighting huge battles.

I decided I wanted to do the same thing but not just for children who were fighting but for anyone needing a "pick me up" to let them know that even in their darkest, hardest, most trying times, someone out there was cheering them on and sending love, hope and inspiration.

So here it is....Heart Cards.

I recruited my mother and she loved the idea and asked to help too. I then asked all of my friends to donate to me any card making supplies. They all came out in and in a few short weeks I had enough to start making these "Heart Cards". 

​

I am hoping to start a monthly "Card Party" and enjoy an afternoon of companionship, food, drinks, laughter, creativity and card making. Then I will personally send them out to those in need of encouragement. All at no charge to any of the recipients.
